2025 Sex Offender Registry Management Conference

The Georgia’s Sex Offender Registry statutes continue to significantly impact the manner in which offenders are registered and tracked, placing additional responsibilities on each sheriff’s office. The Georgia Sheriffs’ Association Training Academy continues its commitment of providing ongoing support and training on mandates imposed on the Office of Sheriff.

Room Rate & Reservations: Contact Great Wolf Lodge by calling the Central Reservations Department at 1-844-473-9653 or online at www.greatwolf.com/georgia and request a room in the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association block with Reservation Code: 2511GSAS.

The room rate is $99+tax nightly (single or double occupancy) and there is no charge for parking. All room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes and fees (these fees are subject to change at the discretion of the state) and $5 state hotel-motel fee per night.

NOTE: To claim tax-exempt status, provide a tax-exempt form (1) one week prior to arrival. The reservation(s) must be made in the name of the individual who is tax exempt and paid with the organizations’ credit card or certified check. E-mail tax exempt forms to gataxforms@greatwolf.com along with the group name – 2511GSAS, name of guest(s) and confirmation number.

Check in is at 4:00 pm; check-out is 11:00 am.

Reservations Deadline: July 25, 2025 or until the reservation block is full.

Cancellation Policy: All individual reservations must be accompanied by a one night’s deposit in the form of a check or credit card. Deposits are non-refundable unless individual cancellation is received more than 72 hours prior to arrival.

This training is for all personnel who are involved with the registration, tracking, and prosecution of a sex offender. Each sheriff’s office is encouraged to send at least one representative to this conference.

Date:Tuesday, August 26 – Thursday, August 28
Training:Training begins at 8:30 am on Tuesday; concludes at noon on Thursday.
Registration Fee:$350; you must pre-register by completing the on-line registration form. No cancellation refunds will be issued after July 25. Deadline to register: July 25.
