2026 Sex Offender Registry Management Conference

The Georgia’s Sex Offender Registry statutes continue to significantly impact the manner in which offenders are registered and tracked, placing additional responsibilities on each sheriff’s office. The Georgia Sheriffs’ Association Training Academy continues its commitment of providing ongoing support and training on mandates imposed on the Office of Sheriff.

The room rate is $159+tax nightly and there is no charge for parking. All room rates are subject to applicable state and local taxes and fees (these fees are subject to change at the discretion of the state) and $5 state hotel-motel fee per night.
To claim tax-exempt status, provide a tax-exempt form upon arrival. The reservation(s) must be made in the name of the individual who is tax exempt and paid with the organizations’ credit card or certified check.
NOTE: Sea Palms offers a number of amenities, and requires a daily resort service fee of $15.00 per night plus 7% tax. Daily Resort Charges include: Guest internet access; island shuttle service; exclusive access to Beach Club; yard games; bicycles; afternoon tea and signature cookies in the lobby from 4-6pm; two bottled waters; daily mocktails with board games 2-4pm; self-parking.
Check in is at 4:00 pm; check-out is 11:00 am.
Reservations Deadline: August 23, 2026 or until the reservation block is full.
Deposit & Cancellation Policy: All individual reservations must be accompanied by a one night’s deposit in the form of a check or credit card. A 14- day cancellation notice is required to cancel individual reservations for full refund of deposits made. Reservation cancellations made within 14 days of arrival date will be charged liquidated damages equal to one night’s room & tax or package.
This training is for all personnel who are involved with the registration, tracking, and prosecution of a sex offender. Each sheriff’s office is encouraged to send at least one representative to this conference.

- Registration fees are nonrefundable for cancellations made 10 days or less prior to the starting date of the training event. All other refunds will be charged a $25 processing fee.
