2023 Command Staff Conference

This three-day conference provides specialized training for all chief deputies and upper level command staff responsible for sheriff’s office operations. Extensive training on topics relevant to the Office of Sheriff and command staff responsibilities are scheduled. The focus will be on strategic planning, civil liabilities, leadership, certification of personnel, Office of Sheriff mandates, and more.

Up to 14 hours of P.O.S.T. credit may be earned if the conference is attended in its entirety.

The daily per room resort fee has been waived and includes entrance gate fee, valet or daily parking, in-room wireless high speed internet, in-room coffee, daily newspapers in the lobby and turndown service (upon request). Also included is unlimited use of the Fitness Center, outdoor heated saltwater lounging pool, poolside and courtyard fire pits, Business Center computers and printers, plus miles of hiking and biking trails. Meals are not included in these rates.

Important Note: Due to limited space, the attendance cannot exceed 200 people. Please try to limit the number of attendees that you register. In order to allow for more counties to attend, GSA will monitor the numbers and may request some counties to limit their number of attendees.

• Any staff member who attends must also complete registration online and pay the registration fee.
• Registration Deadline: April 20, 2023.
• A registration confirmation email will be sent to the email address in the Billing Details section, and a separate confirmation will be sent to the attendee’s email.
• Registration fees are non-refundable for cancellations made 10 days or less prior to the starting date of the training event.
