On December 28, 2023 the below e-mail was sent regarding Chaplains’ Division Membership dues.
In order to maintain your membership in the GSA Chaplains’ Division, it is time to pay annual Chaplains’ Division membership dues.
The 2024 dues letter/invoice with your new credential card will be mailed to your home address that we have on file. If you do not receive it in the next two weeks, please let us know so that we can ensure that we have the correct address on file for you.
- The letter/invoice will contain a membership credential card and a remit slip if you prefer to mail a check.
- If you mail a check, please write “2024 Chaplains Dues” in the memo line of the check.
- If the sheriff’s office pays annual dues on behalf of the chaplain, the chaplain should provide the invoice to the appropriate sheriff’s office for payment.
- Once payment is received at our office, a receipt will be mailed to the chaplain or to the sheriff’s office if paid by the sheriff.
- If you are a new chaplain paying dues for the first time, we need your home address in order to send you your credential card. Please e-mail Missy Sammons your home address to msammons@georgiasheriffs.org
You can submit a check with the remit slip enclosed with the letter or below is a link if you prefer to pay the dues on line with a credit card.
Because of your generous contribution by payment of your annual dues, Senior Chaplain Joey Meeks presented multiple checks on behalf of the GSA Law Enforcement Chaplains’ Division at the 2023 Sheriffs Summer Conference at Lake Lanier. The presentations included a tithe for $3,318.88 to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Youth Homes and $225 to three of the five Youth Homes campuses for back to school supplies.
From July 2022 – July 2023, the Chaplains Division also paid $1250 in line of duty death benefits to the families of fallen officers. The families receive this monetary gift immediately along with a check from the GSA to help with expenses while the family is waiting for life insurance benefits to be received.
