P.O.S.T. Hours 2
Familiarize the deputy with the basic knowledge of the sex offender laws and the responsibility of the Sheriff’s office as it relates to registering sex offenders.
This mandated certification course provides basic training for jail officers.
P.O.S.T. Hours 4
The purpose of this training is to familiarize the deputy with the transportation of the mentally ill and the unique problems associated with such transportation. This block will also address the laws applicable to commitment of the mentally ill.
P.O.S.T. Hours 2
Acquaint the deputy with the procedures to be followed when transporting a prisoner outside the jail. Emphasis will be placed on the hazards and security issues associated with escorting and transporting prisoners.
This four-day conference will provide up to fifteen hours of extensive training and networking opportunities to office deputies, administrative staff, secretaries, and other sheriff’s office staff with a need for this training.
